Bonnie is a graduate of the Honors Program at the University of Georgia. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, with honors, in 1991. She received her Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude, from Georgia State University in 1994. She is on the Board of Directors for Sage School and the Georgia SPCA, both of which are headquartered in Suwanee. Bonnie and her husband, Randy, have been married since 1999 and have two children. They live in Suwanee and attend Gwinnett Church in Sugar Hill.
Bonnie Rich has been a leader all her life. As a local attorney, Bonnie has represented small businesses, individuals and local governments. Since 2008 she has taught law students valuable skills in litigation, client counseling and ethics responsibility. She will rely on her leadership and legal skills to provide real leadership at the Capitol.

Bonnie is well respected by her peers. She holds an AV-Preeminent rating from Martindale Hubbell, the highest ranking an attorney can receive. Bonnie is also an instructor, teaching law and ethics to law students.
The Georgia Academy of Family Physicians named Bonnie Rich the Legislative Champion of the Year for her work on “passage of legislation that has increased the age of sale for tobacco and vaping products to 21 and regulating the sales of vaping products is commendable. A generation of Georgia’s children will be healthier because of you.”
